Thomas Heatherick is a British Designer who is known for his innovative use of engineering and materials. Pushing forward concepts of what design can be from handbags and shop interiors to bridges, Japanese temples and 56-meter tall sculptures. His work is incredibly unique and simply awe-inspiring. The three images above show the Longchamp store in New York, the East Beach Cafe in Littlehampton and the Rollingbridge each as new and fresh as the next. Heatherwick and his studio endlessly ponder 'what-ifs' and 'do-you-think-we-coulds?' He finds pleasure in what other designers might perceive as uncoventional comissions, like the entrance and carpark for Guys Hospital, near London Bridge. This and more of his work can be viewed at http://www.heatherwick.com
